Investec was founded in 1998 by Farouk Sheikh and has a superior investment and management team.  Mr. Sheikh has a Masters in Property Valuation and Law and a Bachelors in Economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). Mr. Sheikh is also the founder of US REO Fund and First Fidelity REO. US REO Fund is an investment entity that acquires assets in SPV's that are sponsored internally as well as by capital partners. First Fidelity REO is a portfolio management company that manages all aspects of acquisition, sales, and disposition. Prior to Investec, Farouk was CEO of Inmar Ltd a pan African based IT solution provider. He has also held positions at Citibank NA, Allsop & Co, the UK’s largest property auctioneers, and various property companies. He brings over 20 years of real estate investment and development expertise.
